Remote access is powerful. These rules keep VeyraDesk safe for our customers and the people they support.
1. Purpose
VeyraDesk gives support teams access to other people’s computers. That access must only ever be used with proper authorisation and for legitimate support purposes. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to every user of every VeyraDesk workspace.
2. Authorised access only
You must:
- only install the VeyraDesk Agent on devices you own or are expressly authorised to support;
- only start remote sessions for legitimate support, maintenance or administration purposes;
- only enable unattended access where the device owner has agreed to it;
- stop using, and revoke, devices you are no longer authorised to support; and
- respect any limits the device owner or end user places on your access.
3. Prohibited activities
You must not use VeyraDesk, directly or indirectly, to:
- Access without authorisation — access, or attempt to access, any device, account, system or data without permission;
- Distribute malware — install, transmit or run viruses, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers or other malicious code;
- Steal credentials — collect, harvest or misuse passwords, tokens, keys or other credentials;
- Commit fraud — impersonate others (including posing as technical support), run “tech support” scams, or deceive anyone into granting access or making payments;
- Carry out unauthorised surveillance — monitor, record, track or observe people without their knowledge and a lawful basis;
- Harass or harm — harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse any person;
- Abuse remote access — exceed the scope of the access you were given, access personal files unrelated to the support task, or keep access after you are asked to disconnect;
- Circumvent security controls — bypass, disable or interfere with VeyraDesk’s authorisation, session limits, roles, audit logging or other security features, or those of devices you support;
- Break the law — engage in or facilitate any illegal activity, including under Malaysian law such as the Computer Crimes Act 1997 and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, or infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- Attack the service — probe, scan, overload or disrupt VeyraDesk or its infrastructure, or share access in ways that bypass plan limits.
4. Workspace responsibility
Workspace owners are responsible for the conduct of everyone in their workspace, for assigning appropriate roles, and for reviewing activity. We encourage owners to review audit records regularly.
5. Reporting misuse
If you believe VeyraDesk is being used to access a device without permission, or in breach of this AUP, contact us immediately at sales@erazemsdnbhd.com with “Abuse report” in the subject, or call +60 19-307 3152. If you are in immediate danger or have been defrauded, please also contact the police.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and may, without liability, suspend or terminate accounts, revoke devices, remove content, and cooperate with law enforcement. Where the law allows, we may act without prior notice to prevent harm.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
